THE 67TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN THE NANUMBA NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Nanumba North Municipal Assembly celebrated the 67th Independence Day on Wednesday, 6th March 2024, at a grand ceremony that showcased the spirit of patriotism and unity among the citizens.

 

The event, was held at the Bimbila SHS park, began with a flag-raising ceremony led by local dignitaries and officials. The national anthem echoed through the air as attendees stood in respect and solidarity to honour the country’s heritage and freedom.

 

Various cultural performances, including traditional dances and musical presentations, delighted the audience and highlighted Ghana’s rich cultural diversity. The vibrant displays of talent and creativity added colour and vibrancy to the celebration.

 

The Hon Municipal Chief Executive, Abdulai Yaqoub, emphasized the importance of unity, progress, and development as key pillars of the nation’s journey towards prosperity. He commended the resilience and dedication of the citizens towards nation-building and urged everyone to contribute to the growth and well-being of the community.

 

Attendees, dressed in traditional attire and national colours, participated in various activities, including parades, exhibitions, and community engagement initiatives. The festive atmosphere was filled with joy, pride, and a sense of shared history among the people of Nanumba North Municipality
