Nanumba North Municipality was upgraded to a Municipal status in March 2018 under LI 2273. It covers an area of 1,986 square kilometres. It is found in the eastern part of the Northern Region and lies between latitudes 8.5o N and 9.25o N and longitude 0.57o E and 0.5o E. it shares boundaries with five Municipals; Yendi Municipal to the north, Mion Municipal to the north west, East Gonja Municipal to the west and south-west, Nanumba South Municipal to the south and east and Zabzugu Municipals to the north-north-east. The Municipal Capital is Bimbilla
VISION STATEMENT
The Nanumba North Municipal Assembly envisages a peaceful, progressive and well-developed Municipal with high standard of living for its people in its area of jurisdiction in a conducive atmosphere, where the dreams and aspirations of its inhabitants can be attained and maximised.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Nanumba North Municipal Assembly exists to facilitate an improvement in the quality of life of the people by harnessing resources and collaborating with private and public agencies for provision of facilities and delivery of quality services.
